Springwater was located five miles south of Rock Port on the John Rundle family farm. They had a free flowing spring which they used to make a pond for swimming. As you can see in the photos, it was a fair sized pond and in one of the photos you can see the size of the crowd. They had a concession stand and sold pop and ice cream. They attracted large crowds on the week ends.

During the winter they cut ice from the pond and distributed it throughout Rock Port from their ice house and filling station on South main street. The Rundles had a large apple orchard from which they shipped carloads of apples throughout the midwest.
