Blackman, Hallie Elizabeth Burke - Hallie Elizabeth Blackman was born August 25, 1921 in Rock Port, Missouri, the daughter of Hallie Cleveland and Mabel Lea (Greer) Burke. She passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 22 days.
Hallie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands John Kite and Clifford Eugene Blackman; and a son, Kent Taylor Kite. She is survived by a daughter, Jocelyn Leigh Hopkins and her husband Max of Omaha, Nebraska.
There will be a memorial service held later this summer with a private burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Shenandoah, Iowa.

Campbell, Dale Merrell - Dale Merrell Campbell, son of J. Victor Campbell and Louisa (Thomas) Campbell, was born on August 17, 1921, on a farm near Fairfax, Missouri. He passed away at his home in Shenandoah, Iowa, on Monday, July 24, 2006, at the age of 84.
The early years of his life were spent in rural Fairfax, Missouri. Dale attended school in Fairfax. As a young man he moved with his parents to a farm in Iowa.
On February 20, 1947, Dale was united in marriage to Alice Jane Vance at his brother EarlÂ’s farm at Westboro, Missouri. The Rev. A. R. Sorenson officiated at their wedding. Alice passed away in March of 1993. On June 18, 2001, Dale was united in marriage to Marcia Gilbert. God blessed them with five wonderful years together.
Dale spent most of his life farming. He was employed at Eaton Transmission Corporation for eight years. He was a member of the Tarkio, Missouri, Assembly of God Church and later transferred his membership to the Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah, where he faithfully served as a Board Member under the ministry of four Pastors. For two and a half years he Co-Pastored in Dunlap, Iowa with his wife Marcia Campbell.
One of Dale’s favorite hobbies was bowling. Through the years, he acquired many trophies. He also enjoyed wood working and after retiring he opened a shop in Essex, Iowa where he sold his crafts.
Preceding Dale in death were his parents; wife, Alice; three brothers, Earl, Romie and Eldie; sister, Veltie; and an infant sister who died at birth. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Campbell of Shenandoah; daughter, Jeannine Broermann and friend Larry Irvine, son Steve Campbell and wife Marcia, all of Tarkio, MO, daughter, Teri and husband Steve Smith of New London, Iowa; four granchildren Brian Broermann of Tarkio, MO, Ashley, Jordan and Victoria Smith of New London, IA; one great granddaughter, Blair Broermann of Tarkio, MO. In 2001, when Dale married Marcia, he inherited four wonderful children, Tammie Jackson and husband Joe of Little Rock, AR, Steve Gilbert and wife Laura of Omaha, NE, Cindy Carroll and husband Mark of Weston, NE and Wess Gilbert and wife Janet of Shenandoah and 21 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church. Pastor Marcia Campbell gave the words of comfort. Marcia Campbell also sang "I Bowed On My Knees" and "What A Day That Will Be". Attending the memory register were Ray Stoddard and Evelyn Loghry. Caring for the flowers were Diann Iverson, Bonnie Shafer and Jean Gorham. Ushers were Leland Loghry and Ron Green. Honorary casket bearers were Jack Gibbons, Owen Davenport, Charles Kinney, Roger Dunham, Larry Armstrong and Kenny Smith. Casket bearers were Janeen Harper, David Bain Wayne Randolph, Larry Shafer, J. C. Coberly and Jerry Schwarte. Interment was in the Home Cemetery at Tarkio, Missouri. The Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
